Red Clay Has New Signs, Identity
The new signs were installed to better identify the music venue and make it easier for patrons to find.

The large “R,” “C,” “T” signs on the Red Clay Theatre in downtown Duluth have been replaced with signs that say "EOP" (Eddie Owen Presents), “Live,” and “Music” with the words “Red” and “Clay” underneath.

Mayor Nancy Harris suggested recently that the facility be referred to as “Red Clay” rather than “Red Clay Theatre” to reflect its role as a music venue rather than a site for dramatic productions. Continuing to call it a theatre, she said, was creating confusion.
