A Dacula woman is dead as a result of what police believe was a domestic dispute.
Police were called to the 2600 block of Kachina Trail in the Apalachee Heritage subdivision in Dacula on Friday, March 1, at 10:07 a.m. According to Gwinnett County Police Department public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith, the suspect in the case -- the husband of the deceased woman -- was the person who called 911. See Dacula Patch for more on this story.

Man Stabbed During Fight in Midtown - Midtown Patch
Michael Taylor Zimmerman, 26, remains in jail after last weekend's street fight near 5th and Juniper streets that led to a man being stabbed and rushed to Grady Hospital.
Project Q is reporting that the victim is a 32 year old gay man, and that he and the suspect knew each other. Project Q reports that witnesses saw Zimmerman fighting with the victim, and that the victim was screaming for help. Midtown Patch has more on this story.

A Watkinsville man was taken into custody on Thursday on charges of child molestation and sexual battery.
John David Cooper, 44, of Stonebridge Circle, was booked around 5:30 p.m. on one count each of child molestation, sexual battery, and electronically furnishing obscene materials to a minor, according to jail records. Oconee Patch has more on this story.
Student Involved in Grady HS Gun Incident Now Charged in Hit and Run - Virginia Highlands-Druid Hills Patch
One day after being charged with shooting herself accidentally in the leg outside Grady High School, Morgan Tukes has been charged in a previously unsolved hit and run accident from October.
