Gospel Fest Celebrates Black History Month With Music, Dance
The fifth annual show will be held Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Cherokee Arts Center in downtown Canton.

The fifth-annual Gospel Fest will return to downtown Canton early next month.
The musical extravaganza held to celebrate Black History Month will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Cherokee Arts Center.

Gospel Fest will showcase a diverse group of talents with a mass choir, praise and dance teams, as well as soloist performances.
Anyone who has participated in the previous four Gospel Fest events is encouraged to come and join the mass choir for this yearβs celebration.

Rehearsal dates for the Gospel Fest V Choir are: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26; Thursday, Jan. 29; Monday, Feb. 2; and Thursday, Feb. 5.
Admission to Gospel Fest is free and this yearβs festivities will be presented in partnership with the Cherokee County Arts Council. The event is sponsored by Darby Funeral Home.
The Rev. Fred Forsh will once again coordinate the music and the musicians for the choir.
