What's Open, Closed in Cherokee on MLK Day 2015?
City and county offices, schools and other services are affected by the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 19.

GOVERNMENT
Along with Cherokee County’s offices, cities of Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs, Ball Ground, Nelson and Waleska offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Police, fire and other services essential for public safety will remain open. City and county offices will resume regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 20.
SCHOOLS

Classes are cancelled and schools and offices will be closed in the Cherokee County School District and Cherokee Charter Academy.
Offices are closed and classes are also cancelled for Reinhardt University and Chattahoochee Technical College’s Canton campus.
POSTAL SERVICE
Mail service from the United States Postal Service will not run Jan. 19, but will resume deliveries and collections Jan. 20.
LIBRARIES
The Sequoyah Regional Library System’s branches will be closed throughout the county. They will reopen for normal hours Jan. 20.
