GOVERNMENT
Along with Cherokee Countyβs offices, cities of Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs, Ball Ground, Nelson and Waleska offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Police, fire and other services essential for public safety will remain open. City and county offices will resume regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 20.
SCHOOLS

Classes are cancelled and schools and offices will be closed in the Cherokee County School District and Cherokee Charter Academy.
Offices are closed and classes are also cancelled for Reinhardt University and Chattahoochee Technical Collegeβs Canton campus.
POSTAL SERVICE
Mail service from the United States Postal Service will not run Jan. 19, but will resume deliveries and collections Jan. 20.
LIBRARIES
The Sequoyah Regional Library Systemβs branches will be closed throughout the county. They will reopen for normal hours Jan. 20.
