Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:
- Johns Creek police are asking the public to keep an eye out for an alleged Amazon contractor who threatened to shoot and beat a woman and her daughter. On Sep. 27, the woman flipped off a driver who was illegally occupying a handicapped parking spot. The driver then threatened to attack and shoot the woman and her daughter before taking off. Police believe the driver was an Amazon contractor, as opposed to an actual employee. Police recently confirmed that they could identify the driver through her car tags, but the victim declined to press charges. (Appen Media)
- No Longer Bound thrift shop will be opening a new location in Johns Creek this January. The new 20,000-square-foot space will be used to sell and thrift items, with all the proceeds going to support men battling addiction. The organization offers a 12-month residential treatment for those struggling with addiction. No Longer Bound is originally based in Cumming, and has been serving metro Atlanta for 31 years. (Appen Media)
- The Old Alabama Road culvert extension project has been completed. Staff marked the completion of the project, which stabilized the roadway embankment and repaired a damaged stormwater pipe system, on Wednesday afternoon. The project is located west of the Falls of Autry Mill neighborhood entrance. (City Of Johns Creek)
