πŸ“° News we're reading

β€’ 6 DeKalb County schools removed from federal improvement list (fox5atlanta.com) β€” Doraville families should know Doraville United Elementary has been added to a federal Targeted Support and Improvement list for extra help with students with disabilities. While six other DeKalb schools improved enough to come off federal improvement lists, Doraville United and two additional schools will now receive focused support as the district works to boost outcomes.

β€’ DeKalb leaders extend data center moratorium to June as residents raise health, cost concerns (cbsnews.com) β€” Doraville residents could see major data centers proposed nearby, but DeKalb commissioners just extended a countywide pause on new projects until June 23 to study health, noise, and cost impacts. Officials warn that, without clear rules, large facilities could be built in places like Doraville, near schools and neighborhoods, before long-term protections are in place.
