Autrey Mill Scout Day On Nov. 10

The 11th annual event will allow hundreds of Cub and Girl Scouts to earn badges and awards at the Johns Creek-based nature preserve.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center is gearing up for its 11th annual Scout Day, a once-a-year initiative allowing Cub Scout and Girl Scout members to explore the Johns Creek-based organization. The annual event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.

About 400 Scouts will cover the Preserve, earning badges and awards with stations such as Playing the Past, Plants, Hiking and more. In addition to the nearly 400 Scouts, parents, leaders and siblings will join the activities, bringing the total number coming to the Preserve to around 1,000.

Spearheaded by members of the all-volunteer Board of Directors, this event provides an outreach to the scouting community that has been enjoyed for more than a decade. New this year is the addition of Lion Rank to the offerings for kindergarten-age Cub Scouts.
