'Barnival' Raises Funds for Critical Programs, Equipment
Barnwell Elementary students enjoyed a fun day, while helping the school raise money recently.
The combination of fundraising, carnival food, games, and rides equaled success at this year’s Barnwell Elementary "Barnival."
"I really enjoyed seeing all my friends at the Barnival," said third grade Barnwell student Anabel Peasah.
The event is an important one for the Barnwell students, parents, faculty and community. The "Barnival" helps to raise funds for needed equipment, programs, and curriculum items for students. The goal of the event is to bring together family, faculty and community to enhance education.

This year’s event included rides such as the Dragon Fly, face painting, a Money Machine, human hamster balls, and a variety of carnival games. It also featured a perennial favorite - the cake walk. A surprise welcome addition this year’s 'Barnival' was the inclusion of principal, and teacher karaoke.
The Johns Creek community added to the excitement with vendors, karate exhibitions and food provided by the Haynes Bridge Publix.
