Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:
- The City of Johns Creek announced the completion of the Bell Road bridge project, located between Rogers Bridge (South) and Bellacree Road. The project included replacing Bell Road bridge over the Cauley Creek tributary and the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the road. (City of Johns Creek via Twitter)
- On Jan. 13, the Johns Creek Police Department was called to Jonpaul’s Salon and Spa for Men on Medlock Bridge Road after a “disgruntled” customer sent a disturbing email to an employee. The police report said the email contained "political standpoints and race and how his life was hard when growing up." The Spa has two customers with the same name and could not be sure which one sent the email. (Appen Media)
- Last week, it was announced the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office would receive an $11 million budget increase. Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said the increase would go towards a 20 percent pay raise for deputies and detention officers, overtime pay for staff working in the Fulton County Jail, overtime paid as earned in lieu of comp time, and salary increases for sworn and civilian staff.
