  1. Police were called to investigate a "suspicious package" at a women's health clinic Wednesday morning. The police received the call around 9:50 a.m., and they promptly shut down Old Alabama Road while investigating the package. The item turned out to be a bag filled with baby supplies, according to police. The scene had dispersed by 12:15 p.m. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. An 18-year-old Johns Creek woman reported being assaulted at a carnival outside North Point Mall. According to the woman, the assault happened on Jun. 4 when someone shot her with a BB gun in the eye. She was able to obtain video footage and promptly requested that the police press charges for the incident. (Appen Media)
  3. Johns Creek and other cities in the Atlanta metro could see showers and thunderstorms over the 4th of July weekend. According to AccuWeather reports, heavy and gusty thunderstorms are likely Friday morning through Monday night. Independence Day proper is expected to be partly sunny, with a 50 percent chance of showers and storms. (Atlanta Patch)
