Jim Chapman Communities has the “very unusual, but very cool distinction” of pre-selling 55 new homes in phase two of its active adult community, Brookhaven at Johns Creek, since late April 2014, the company said earlier this week.

That averages out to roughly seven homes per month for eight straight months, a brisk pace in which any builder would take pride.

“It’s interesting,” said Jim Chapman. “Admittedly, Johns Creek is among the most popular new cities in the north Atlanta area in which to reside. But, it was something I overheard recently at a holiday party that positively reinforced our vision. A lady was telling her friend that she and her husband were looking to downsize since becoming empty nesters. They had apparently looked at a dozen or so new communities under construction in the north Fulton area, none of which had a master bedroom on the main floor. I thought to myself how all of our Jim Chapman Communities homes have a master on the main, plus a ton of other features and amenities they would enjoy.”

Brookhaven at Johns Creek is an active adult community built exclusively for residents age 55 and older.

It is located among some of the area’s most prestigious and desirable golf clubs, only one mile from the world class Emory Johns Creek Hospital and all homes feature exceptionally designed floor plans for today’s lifestyle. It also offers three and four bedroom, one level condominium style floor plans and three to five bedroom, one level detached homes.

With all brick construction, inviting front porches, available bonus rooms, optional screened porches, vaulted ceilings and a plethora of outdoor community amenities, “it’s no wonder pre-sales are off the chart,” the builder asserts.

“The phase two infrastructure is going in now,” Chapman added. “Homes will come out of the ground in February (or) March, with the first closings slated for June. It is amazing how easy it is to sell people something when it actually fits both their wants and their needs at the same time. It’s like that line from the movie that says if you build it, they will come.”
