Chattahoochee Student to Compete in International Geography Olympiad in Japan

Nirav Ilango is part of Team USA and will travel to Japan during July.

Nirav Ilango, a sophomore at Chattahoochee High School and member of the CHS Academic Bowl Team, competed in the US Geography Olympiad held in Washington D.C during April 26-28 and placed fourth overall in the country (varsity division).  

Ilango earned a spot on the first ever Team USA that will compete in the International Geography Olympiad in Kyoto, Japan during July. He also placed second in the nation at the History Bee National Championship out of 160 participants (junior varsity).

The school's Principal Tim C. Duncan recently shared his congratulations with Ilango.
