- The Fulton County Medical Examiner has identified 20-year-old Shamar Mcleroy as inmate who died at the Fulton County Jail on Oct. 19. According to the ongoing possible-homicide investigation, the detainee's ankles and wrists were bound when the body was found. Mcleroy's grandmother, Rosie Gray, and his family believe he was strangled. The manner and cause of his death are still pending according to the medical examiner's office. (11 Alive)
- Linseigh Green of Johns Creek was diagnosed was an intestinal disease known as Necrotizing Enterocolitis, or NEC, when she was an infant. For 25 years she has defied the odds and is now working on her second master's degree in England. She is one of the first and only NEC survivors to speak at medical conferences about the need for more funding and research to better understand Necrotizing Enterocolitis. - The Georgia Department of Transportation closed two westbound lanes between Roswell and Ashford Dunwoody Roads along I-285 in North Fulton County. Commuters gave been noticing more traffic and the alternate routes take drivers "way out of the way," according to locals. Crews are constructing I-285 bridges over Georgia 400, Peachtree Dunwoody Road, and Glenridge Drive and it is expected to take at least eight months. (WSB-TV Atlanta)
