Students in Dolvin Elementary’s Science Club finished their last lab of the school year with an introduction into the subject of anatomy.
With the support of Johns Creek High School seniors, Dolvin students dissected an amphibian known as the Bull Frog. The students viewed the interior of the mouth, cutting out the tongue, followed by a journey into the frog’s abdominal area.
They identified major organs, how they worked and compared them to the human anatomy. Students were instructed by Abby May, the Northeast STEM Program Specialist, who also assisted with the coordination and planning of the lab.
