  1. Love T. Nolan Elementary school held a back-to-school bash to support Fulton County students and families struggling with inflation. A city councilwoman arranged the event to feature a book bag giveaway with masks, notebooks, and writing utensils. There were also bounce houses, snow cones, and popcorn to give the event a fun atmosphere. (MSN)
  2. Due to driver shortage, Fulton and Cobb County students are experiencing overcrowding on buses as well as longer wait times to board. Both counties are looking to recruit 200 new drivers to meet their needs. Chief Strategy and Accountability Officer for Cobb County School District, John Floresta, said the county has “drivers running...double and triple runs, which means that the schedule...might be a little bit different than what it was. Pick up might be a little bit earlier, might be a little bit later." (11Alive)
  3. With school starting, the Johns Creek Police Department is encouraging caregivers and students to exercise safety around school buses. With an illustration, the department suggested students stick to the side of the road they are unloaded on to avoid the danger of the road. See all the valuable information from the department at the link. (JCPD via Facebook)
