Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:

  1. Today, Dec. 6, is Election Day for the runoff between Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker. Wait times to vote could be significant, just like the long early in-person voting lines, due to the shortened early voting period. Many counties, including Fulton, post the wait times online so voters can check before heading to the polls. Georgians can find their designated precinct location, wait times for voting lines, and other voting information on the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page. (Nonstop Local KULR8 News)
  2. The Johns Creek Police Department's Citizens Auxiliary Police Services (CAPS) is donating holiday trees and decorations to Johns Creek families in need. Community members can nominate a family in need for "Operation Winter Wonderland" here by Dec. 12 at noon. (Johns Creek PD)
  3. The City of Johns Creek invites the community to the Public Input Meeting for the Buice Road Trail Project tomorrow, Dec. 7, at 6:00 p.m. at Johns Creek City Hall. The project aims to create a trail, or wide sidewalk, on Buice Road between Spruill Road and Haverhill Lane. If you cannot attend in person, there is an online public comment form that will be available on Dec. 7 here. (City of Johns Creek)
