Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. After a series of recent dog attacks, Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts is urging Fulton County residents to keep their dogs on a leash, be aware of their surroundings, and report any vicious dog attacks or confrontations to Fulton County Animal Services. Pitts said the dog responsible for the attacks, known as "Juno," pounced on several other dogs in Chastain Memorial Park. According to the only person who reported the attack, Juno's owner looked on and took no action while Juno severely injured at least one other dog. Pitts said the attacks are under investigation. 2. Thieves stole more than $2 million from Edge Solutions, an Alpharetta-based technology company, by impersonating Fulton County School System employees. The scammers used email accounts ending in @fultoncschools.org, which is a spoof of the legitimate Fulton County Schools address @fultonschools.org, to order nearly 1,000 laptop computers worth $2,060,474. On Nov. 29, the fraud was uncovered when Edge Solutions went to collect payment from the real Marin Dereef, who said the orders were not real. Officials have confirmed the incident is under investigation by the Alpharetta Police Department and federal authorities, including the United States Secret Service. (Appen Media)
  3. Yesterday, Dec. 11, a major vehicle crash closed all the lanes on Interstate 20 at Fulton Industrial Boulevard in west Fulton County at around 6:00 a.m. Emergency personnel responded and by 8:20 a.m. one lane had re-opened. As of Dec. 11 at 3:00 p.m., there has been no update on the crash. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
