Dowling to play Lacrosse at University of Louisville

Chattahoochee High School’s Ryan Dowling has signed a national letter of intent to play lacrosse for the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. The University of Louisville Men’s Lacrosse is a member of the NCLL conference.

Dowling has been a starting attackman and offensive midfielder on Chattahoochee’s varsity team since he was a sophomore. To date, he has earned two varsity letters. During the 2019 season, he was named Offensive Player of the Year. Dowling was a member of the 3D Georgia Select lacrosse team in 2018 and 2019, and has participated in Georgia Outlaws summer lacrosse since 2010.

Dowling also considered offers from other colleges but plans to pursue his dream of a Sports Management degree at the University of Louisville which boasts an impressive and varied assortment of college athletic teams. He would like to thank his coaches over the years – Channing Hoyt, Aaron Hill, Tanner Botts, Bob Hamley, Bob Kuhlke and B. J. Hebert - for helping him reach his goal of playing college lacrosse. Dowling is also appreciative of the support of his family – his father, Michael, who also coached him over the years; his mother, Clara, for always cheering him on; and his older brother, Reid, who always pushed him to be better.
