- The Johns Creek Fire Department has been checking the local fire hydrants to ensure they operate correctly during an emergency. If the water in your home is discolored, the JCFD advises residents to run the water lines for a few moments to flush the lines. - A lost dog was found yesterday, Mar. 8, near Morton’s Crossing/Taylor Road. The female dog has no tags or identification but was wearing a collar and a partial leash. The Johns Creek Police Department turned her over to Fulton County Animal Control. Please contact Fulton County Animal Control with any information regarding the dog's owner. - Did you know that National Arbor Day is in April, but Johns Creek's Arbor Day is in February? This is because each state has its Arbor Day during the best month to plant trees in its specific area. On Feb. 17, Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry and Councilmember Erin Elwood helped plant a tree at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and declared the day "Arbor Day in Johns Creek."
