- The Corky Kell Classic opened on Wednesday at Johns Creek, amounting to a loss for the home team at 52-7. The opponents, Parkview Panthers, can thank team member Mike Matthews for their success. Matthews was considered the highest-ranked recruit going into the game and demonstrated his skill early on. Ultimately, Matthews was instrumental in big plays on both offensive and defensive plays.
