Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:
- Johns Creek Police arrested a suspect who multiple witnesses said was pleasuring himself in public. Police said the suspect, an Asian male, was allegedly caught twice by the same two women in a park and looks like the same man caught on video pleasuring himself in a nearby neighborhood. As of Apr. 4, officials did not release the name of the Johns Creek park or neighborhood where the incidents took place. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- On Mar. 23, a local man contacted the Johns Creek Police Department after receiving threatening text messages. The suspect claims to have lost $30,000 to the man's casino and demands $4,000 or else he will hurt the victim's family. According to the victim, the story is fake because no one had placed that much at the casino. The victim told police that he suspects the suspect used to work for him at a casino. (Appen Media)
- Big Blue Swim School in Johns Creek is a local swim school that focuses on water safety. According to the Centers for Disease Control, drowning is the most common cause of death in children aged one to four years old. Health experts say that formal swimming lessons can help prevent these deaths. On Good Day America, John Creek general manager of Big Blue Swim School Keith Edelhoff-Baker shared some of the basic water safety tips, including wearing life jackets, adult supervision, and a designated "water watcher."
