- Providence Christian Academy will be moving to Johns Creek. The K-12 school is relocating from its McGinnis Ferry Road location to an approved site on Johns Creek Parkway. The school anticipates serving up to 200 students. Officials with the school will be submitting paperwork for a building permit in the coming weeks. (Johns Creek Herald)
- Local tennis leader John Callen passed away at the age of 69. He is remembered in the Over The Mountain Journal as having worked to make the sport better for everyone. The man was a member of four different halls of fame and led USTA Southern, which oversees tennis in the southern United States. (Over the Mountain Journal)
