Johns Creek Farmers Market Starts June 1

The market will offer fresh fruits and veggies.

The Johns Creek Farmers Market, now in its third year, will return June 1 at Newtown Park with 30-35 vendors offering locally grown and organically grown produce, and homemade food.

"Nothing tastes as good as fruits and vegetables fresh from the farm down the road," said Recreation Manager Kirk Franz. "Our vendors sell produce that is certified organic, certified naturally grown, or sustainably grown, and it has to be ripe and in season. We're hoping to have chef demonstrations again this year to show people the best way to prepare their delicious fruits and vegetables."

In addition to vegetables and fruits, the Johns Creek Farmers Market will feature a variety of craft foods, such all-natural cheeses, honey, homemade jams and jellies, fresh breads, pastries and pastas.
