Johns Creek Golfer Wins Georgia Junior PGA Player Of The Year
Erica Scutt, 16, of Johns Creek, recently was named the 2019 Georgia Junior PGA Player of the Year title for girls ages 15 to 18 years old.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — A Johns Creek Teen was recently awarded for her success with golf.
Erica Scutt, 16, of Johns Creek, was awarded the 2019 Georgia Junior PGA Player of the Year title for girls ages 15 to 18 years old.
The award was presented at the end of the year banquet at the Chateau Elan Golf Resort in Braselton. Scutt, is a junior at Northview High School where she is a member of the golf team.

During the season she amassed an incredible 782 points by winning six of the 10 junior tournaments in which she played while placing second in two others. Players are awarded 100 points for a win, 75 points for second a 50 points for third. The player with the most points earns Player of the Year honors.
Among Scutt’s wins were the UGA Junior Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens and the Atlanta Junior Championship contested on the demanding East Lake Country Club Course, where the PGA Tour plays the FedEx Cup.

In presenting the coveted Player-of-the-Year award, Mike Rakowki, Director of the Georgia PGA Junior Tour lauded Scutt’s sterling record of accomplishment, more than doubling the points of her nearest competitor.
By virtue of her Player of the Year status she is eligible to play in the 2020 Georgia Women’s Open.
Scutt is the daughter of Josh and Amy Scutt of Johns Creek. She plays out of the Olde Atlanta Club in Suwanee.
