  1. In October 2022, the City of Johns Creek began offering glass recycling at the Ocee Park parking lot. Johns Creek recently received New Leaf level certification for the Atlanta Regional Commission's Green Communities Program, which was partly helped by the new glass recycling initiative. In a recent social media post, Johns Creek asked residents to remember that not all glass is accepted at the Ocee Park container including crystal, light bulbs, vases, ceramics, and more. 2. On Friday, Feb. 10, the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra will host its second annual Hearts & Harmony Gala at the Atlanta Athletic Club. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and will feature music by JCSO musicians, food, cocktails, raffles, and a benefit auction led by auctioneer Dean Crownover. All proceeds raised will go directly to the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. (Johns Creek Patch)
