- The Johns Creek City Council recently approved a $250,000 engineering contract with Practical Design Partners for the Nesbit Ferry Road corridor improvements, a project in which Johns Creek and Roswell are formal partners. Johns Creek will lead and manage the project, contributing $7.5 million from Johns Creek's TSPLOST II funding, while Roswell maintains ownership and maintenance responsibility for Nesbit Ferry Road, contributing $1 million from Roswell's TSPLOST II funding. - On Dec. 14, Fulton County and its 15 cities finally finalized an agreement over the $3 billion local option sales tax (LOST). The agreement gives Fulton County about 10 percent of total revenues generated over the 10-year life of LOST and the cities receive the remainder of the revenue. Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry said the agreement provides a "softer
landing," because the county gets a staggered increase from 4.9 to 9.9 percent. Bradberry said the city gets the same tax cut next year, but over time the city's percentage will decrease and the county's percentage will increase.
