- The Summit, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and the Johns Creek Police Department are hosting a Suicide Awareness & Prevention Event on Sep. 8. The event will provide insight into the leading causes and signs of suicidal behavior while also dismantling its deadly myths. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at 6919 McGinnis Ferry Rd. - The Fulton County Commissioners have proposed increasing their share of the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) from five percent to 35 percent. This increase would create a hole in the City of Johns Creek's budget of about $7.7 million. All 15 Fulton cities, including Johns Creek, are opposed to this proposed increase.
