Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:
- Yesterday, Feb. 6, Johns Creek Police arrested a man after a felony traffic stop ended in a pursuit involving the Georgia State Patrol and JCPD. The suspect led police on a "short foot chase" on Old Alabama Road at the Old Alabama Square shopping center, according to JCPD. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- On Feb. 1, the Fulton County Commission passed a resolution to charge cities a percentage of the total estimated cost the county anticipates spending on municipal elections, instead of a fixed rate the county initially proposed. The budget for the county would be $5.2 million, the same amount for 2021 municipal elections, plus an extra 10 percent for contingencies. This could affect the decision of cities that have not committed to running their own elections, including Johns Creek. (Appen Media)
