- The Johns Creek Recreation & Parks Master Plan Update will take place this January. Residents are invited to provide input on draft recommendations for Johns Creek parks during the public input meetings on Jan. 5 at City Hall (11360 Lakefield Dr.) and Jan. 9 at Park Place (3125 Old Alabama Road). Both meetings will take place at 6:00 p.m. (City of Johns Creek)
- On Thursday (Dec. 22), lovebirds were able to ring in the holidays with a free wedding at the Fulton County courthouse. As part of the court's first annual December holiday wedding service, Fulton County Chief Magistrate Judge Cassandra Kirk and the Fulton County Magistrate Court offered no-cost weddings to couples. Participants were allowed to bring up to eight guests to their wedding ceremonies. (WSB-TV)
- A report was recently released regarding a man who locked himself in a homeowner’s association clubhouse bathroom, vomiting and defecating on the floor. The incident took place on Dec. 9 at the clubhouse on Seven Oaks Parkway and ended with police escorting the man out and carrying him to an AMR stretcher to an ambulance. The man reportedly attempted to leave the ambulance and was detained in the back of the police car before being transported to Emory Johns Creek. Later, he was transported to the Fulton County Jail where he received citations for public drunkenness and obstruction. (Appen Media)
