1. The first Sugar Mill Jingle Bell Dash 5K Run/Walk in Johns Creek is on Saturday, Dec. 10. The event benefits Special K’s, a local agency of Special Olympics Georgia. After the race, the Johns Creek Police Department will host touch-a-truck, K-9 demonstrations, and more. The race check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Sugar Mill Clubhouse parking lot, 7095 Sweet Creek Road. You can see all the upcoming holiday races in the metro-Atlanta area at the link. 2. Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming, a specialty pet retail and grooming franchise, announced it will open its 200th store in Johns Creek. The store, located at 11250 Medlock Bridge Road, is expected to open in April. (Franchising.com)
3. Coco, a shelter dog who was adopted from Fulton County Animal Services, is on her way to becoming a movie star. Coco portrayed "Sarii" in her debut movie role in the Hulu original film, "Prey," which is the fifth installment in the Predator franchise. Coco is currently working on her second film.
