Here are the top three stories today in Johns Creek:

  1. A new "eatertainment" destination is planned for Johns Creek. The City Council has unanimously approved a mixed-use rezoning event for a new project called Medley. Located at the intersection of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road, Medley is envisioned as a major destination for the whole community. There will be up to 200,000 square feet of space that can be used for retail, restaurants, and entertainment. There will also be residential units and available office space. (What Now Atlanta)
  2. The Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce is wrapping up its events for the remainder of the year. They've announced the schedule for the week, so locals won't miss out on any of the fun. There will be a ribbon-cutting event at Cancer & Blood Specialist of GA, as well as the annual Chamber Holiday Party and Ugly Sweater Contest. The Chamber will resume in the new year with a host of fun new events for the whole town. (Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce via Facebook)
  3. Some new vehicles will be hitting the road in Johns Creek. The city has approved an ordinance that allows personal transportation vehicles to be used on certain streets in neighborhood areas. This ordinance will include golf carts. It will go into effect on Jan. 1. (Johns Creek Police Department via Facebook)
