Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. Family and friends of missing 65-year-old Joel Rosenbaum of Lawrenceville have not given up searching for him. He went missing after his release from the Habersham County Detention Center on Jan. 26. Jail officials let Rosenbaum leave the jail with only the clothes he wore and his driver's license, even though they had been informed that he was mentally ill. Members of the St. Ives Country Club in Johns Creek, where Rosenbaum worked, participated in the search on Monday, Feb. 20. (Now Habersham)
  2. The Fulton County Reparations Task Force will present its findings in October 2024. It could come in many different ways if it does recommend compensation for the county's African American community. The task force chair, Karcheik Sims-Alvarado, said the reparations could come in tax credits, scholarships, money, or another form. (Subscription: Atlanta Journal Constitution)
