Man Stole 11 Chainsaws From Hardware Store: Cops

The Johns Creek Police Department is investigating the Nov. 16 burglary at Ace Hardware on Jones Bridge Road.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police Department is investigating the case in which a man broke into a local hardware store and stole nearly a dozen chainsaws from the establishment.

According to a be-on-the-lookout alert issued by the agency, a male subject entered Ace Hardware at 10875 Jones Bridge Road around 5:57 a.m. Nov. 16 and stole 11 Stihl Chainsaws.

The chainsaws, JCPD said, are valued at about $5,000. Johns Creek police added the male subject entered the store by using a sledgehammer to shatter the front door's glass window.

He was observed driving possibly a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. Anyone who comes in contact with the suspect is asked to contact Detective T.A. Seymour at 678-474-1547 or tseymour@johnscreekga.gov and reference case number 2018-005166.
