Michael Jones, 62, Has Passed Away

January 13, 1951 - November 29, 2013

Raymond “Michael” Jones, beloved husband and father, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, November 29, 2013. 

Michael was born in Perry, Georgia January 13, 1951, to Frances Clarenda Brookshire of Winder, Georgia, and Raymond Richard Jones of Fort Worth, Texas. 

Michael worked hard to provide for his family and served three years in the U.S. Army. During his lifetime, he enjoyed being with family, camping, painting, watching TV, and cooking chili on Saturday nights. Friends and family knew that Saturday night was open chili night at the Jones’. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joan Durrance Jones and their son Thomas Clayton “TC” Jones of Johns Creek; two sisters and their husbands Marie Jones Caufman and Jimmy Caufman of Commerce, Georgia, and Margaret Jones Whitmire and Garnett Whitmire of Gainesville, Georgia, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ministry Center at Perimeter Church, located at 9500 Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek, Georgia 30097.
