Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. Over the weekend, a small dog went missing from the area of Creekside Park Drive and Morton Road in Johns Creek. The heartbroken family reached out to Johns Creek Police about locating the dog, prompting them to post identifying images of the animal. The dog, CoCo, was located and reunited with his family in the past 24 hours. (Johns Creek Police Department via Facebook)
  2. The next meeting to establish the 2022 millage rate for Johns Creek will be on Aug. 15. In 2021, the Johns Creek City Council adopted a rate of 3.986, which was the same in 2020. All residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the millage rate public hearings, which are required by Georgia law. To calculate the millage rate, the Board of Tax assessors compile market trends for all properties recently sold. (Johns Creek Government)
  3. Johns Creek students returned to school yesterday, Aug. 8, along with Fulton County students everywhere. The city of Johns Creek encourages parents to send in back-to-school photos of their students. Photos can be submitted by emailing Communications@JohnsCreekGA.gov.
