Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:
- On Thursday, the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections approved early-voting sites on campuses. The plan features two days of early voting at Atlanta Metropolitan College, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, and Morehouse College. The board is still considering early voting at the Georgia State Alpharetta Center. A Fulton County spokeswoman said early voting locations are always subject to change and dependent on each election cycle. (CBS 46 News)
- The Johns Creek Police Department says officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Aug. 1. D-Squad, who has already been praised by the department for consistent arrests, located the vehicle in a parking lot where officers were performing a traffic stop. They took the driver of the stolen vehicle into custody. (JCPD via Instagram)
- Antoine Sims, who was charged for the murder of Johns Creek's Adelisa Muratovic in 2018, called the police over lukewarm fries. When the police realized Sims had a warrant out for his failure to appear in his murder trial, they tried to arrest him and Sims fled. After catching up with Sims in an apartment complex, the police tasered him and took him back to jail. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
