- Looking for a place to celebrate the Fourth of July? Look no further than Newtown Park! On Sunday, Jul. 3, Newtown Park will host a free celebration from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. that includes live music, food trucks, beer, wine, and sangria for sale. Fireworks will conclude the festivities at night. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- To celebrate Independence Day, Park Place participants wore red, white, and blue at their picnic luncheon on Thursday. The Johns Creek Veterans Association Color Guard attended and presented the Colors, as well as led the national anthem for the participants. If you're 62 and older, you can register for Park Place. - On Thursday, Mayor Bradberry attended the groundbreaking for the Ivy Kids of Johns Creek school. Slated to open in 2023, Ivy Kids offers programs for children ages six weeks to 12 years including infant care, preschool, pre-kindergarten, and before and after school care. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children should visit Ivy Kids' website. (Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce)
