Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. On Feb. 9, the North Fulton Municipal Association, which includes the cities of Sandy
Springs, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell and Mountain Park, had its monthly meeting and discussed city elections. The newly drafted multi-city agreement was not discussed, but Fulton County commissioners Bob Ellis and Bridget Thorne discussed the county’s municipal election budget including the new offer for cities to pay 2021 election prices to the county. Johns Creek City Councilwoman Erin Elwood does not support the city running its own elections for reasons including the logistics of doing so on such short notice and the cost being the determining factor for the change. Johns Creek Mayor John Bradberry was elected as the new Municipal Association chair and the next North Fulton Municipal Association meeting is on Mar. 23. (Appen Media)
  2. The City of Johns Creek is looking for residents, business owners, and organizations to apply with a "give back action" idea for Daffodil Days. Some examples include raising funds for local non-profits, Girl Scout Troop bake sales, and crocheting blankets for cancer patients. Daffodil Days, a week-long give-back and volunteer effort described as "a community collaboration and celebration of a healthy and connected community," will be held from Mar. 19 through 25. 3. On Wednesday, Feb. 15, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners will hold its February Recess meeting at Fulton County Government Center’s Assembly Hall. The agenda for the meeting is available online here and includes updates of several Fulton County departments. Residents can participate during the "public comment" in person, in writing, or virtually via Zoom. (Fulton County GA)
