North Fulton Schools Win State Academic Achievement Awards
Eighteen Fulton County schools were recognized based on scoring components of the Career and College Readiness Performance Index, or CCRPI.

JOHNS CREEK, GA —Governor Nathan Deal and the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement have announced the state’s top schools in its annual Single Statewide Accountability System recognition program.
A total of 18 Fulton County Schools were named in two categories: Gains and Highest Performance.
“We are pleased to have our schools recognized and will continue striving to see all schools increase their student achievement levels,” said Chief Academic Officer Clifford Jones.

A total of 159 Georgia public schools in 42 districts received Highest Performing or Greatest Gains school awards. Fulton County Schools recognition of 18 schools as Highest Performing or Greatest Gains, is the second largest of any district in the state. Of these 18 schools, Alpharetta High School, Chattahoochee High School and Lake Windward Elementary School were recognized as both Greatest Gains and Highest Performing schools.
Schools were selected for these prestigious awards based upon scoring components of the Career and College Readiness Performance Index. These components include schools’ Content Mastery, Closing Gaps and Progress scores. Schools earning a three-year average CCRPI Content Mastery score in at least the 93rd percentile of all state scores, while also maintaining a CCRPI Closing Gaps score of at least 75, qualify as Highest Performing schools. Schools earning a three-year average CCRPI Progress score in at least the 93rd percentile of all state scores may qualify as a school with the Greatest Gains.

FCS schools recognized for Greatest Gains were Alpharetta High School, Cambridge High School, Chattahoochee High School, Johns Creek High School, Lake Windward Elementary School, Northview High School, and River Trail Middle School.
Highest Performing Schools recognized were Abbotts Hill Elementary School, Alpharetta High School, Barnwell Elementary School, Chattahoochee High School, Crabapple Crossing Elementary School, Creek View Elementary School, Dolvin Elementary School, Findley Oaks Elementary School, Hopewell Middle School, Lake Windward Elementary School, Milton High School, Northwestern Middle School, State Bridge Crossing Elementary School and Summit Hill Elementary School.
