Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. The City of Johns Creek began construction to extend Autrey Mill Middle School's right-turn lane and sidewalk on Old Alabama Road. Extending the lane and sidewalk by 400 feet will give parents more room to line up while waiting to pick up their children without affecting Old Alabama Road traffic. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
  2. A former detention officer with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Kawana Jenkins, is accused of inappropriate behavior with a male inmate. Jenkins faces more than a dozen charges including two counts of Improper Sexual Contact by Employee or Agent, five counts of Violation of Oath by a Public Officer, two counts of Reckless Conduct, two counts of Cruelty to Inmates, and one count of Obtain/Procure/Give Inmate Prohibited Item Without Authorization. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. According to Style Blueprint, a local restaurant is one of the top 10 best burgers in Atlanta!
