Breland’s parents, Nick and Kelly Locklair, told WSB-TV they fear they’ll never see their daughter again. The couple told the news station that Ciera's disappearance is suspicious, especially since she told them that Xavier had abused and threatened to kill her in the past.

The Locklairs said they haven't seen their daughter since she was at their north Georgia home planning to leave Xavier, reported WSB-TV.

“I called her phone when police called and [Xavier Breland, Jr.] answered it,” Nick Locklair told WSB. “I said, ‘Xavier, tell me the truth. What’s going on? Ciera told me if anything happened to her that you were responsible for it, so just tell me the truth.’ And he told me to go to Hell and hung up.”

According to WXIN-TV in Indianapolis, new text messages reveal that Breland was scared of her husband. Her cousin Shelby Campbell, shared screenshots with the news station of their conversations where Breland said she believed Xavier was capable of hurting her and that she wanted to leave him for good.

Before she went missing Ciera texted her cousin “I’m at Xavier’s mom’s house…he won’t give me Jaxson so I’m waiting to get him so I can leave.”
