- Some Johns Creek residents should prepare for a planned water outage. The outage will affect those in the vicinity of Barnwell Road and Holcomb Bridge Road. Residents along the highlighted roads will likely be affected. - Police in Johns Creek are searching for Javonte Jarrett, a 28-year-old man who is possibly armed and dangerous. Jarrett ran away from the scene of a domestic dispute at Northhaven at Johns Creek Apartment Complex, and police later discovered he has pending charges against him for crimes such as kidnapping, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and rape. Authorities are urging the public to call 911 if they see him and have described him as 6’ and 215 lbs., wearing a purple shirt, and believed to be in the area between Kimball Bridge, State Bridge, and Jones Bridge roads. - A Tex-Mex concept restaurant will be opening its first brick-and-mortar franchise location in Johns Creek. The Tampa, Florida-based concept Capital Tacos will be opening its first location this month, and a second location is set to open in the next few weeks.
