Here are the top three stories in Johns Creek today:

  1. On Monday, Mar. 13, the House Public Health Committee approved a bill that would permanently prohibit local governments in Georgia from requiring COVID-19 vaccination proof before giving out services. State Rep. Michelle Au, D-Johns Creek, disagreed with the bill, saying a permanent restriction would be "tying the hands for future pandemic response and taking tools out of our toolbox." (Gwinnett Daily Post)
  2. All ten of the Fulton County Magistrate Court judges signed a letter saying they have "lost
confidence" in the current clerk, Tina Robinsonto.
According to part-time Magistrate Judge Cheryl Treadwell, Robinsonto "won't accept certain filing from the judges," will not give "consistent in-person support," and does not mail hearing notices to litigants on time. Robb Pitts, chairman of the Fulton County Commissioner, said the feud between the chief magistrate and the county clerk is "embarrassing and hurts taxpayers the most." Pitts proposed that the county consolidate the three courts with one clerk. His new legislation will be on the commission agenda tonight, Mar. 15. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. The Farmers Market at Daffodil Days will sell local honey, pies, salsa, empanadas, and so much more! Check out the variety of vendors from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 25, at Johns Creek City Hall.
