River Trail Middle School student wins Georgia Spelling Bee

When the power of a broad vocabulary & the prowess of being able to wrangle some tough spelling technicalities pay off, we have a champion

7th Grade River Trail Student, Arushi Cumer, is the Georgia Spelling Bee Champion and will represent Georgia in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The winning word was andouille. Some other words Arushi got were schipperke, hedebo, voiturette, Lammas, and bascology.

Principal, Neil Pinnock, shared, “We are very proud of Arushi advancing to the Scripps National Spelling Bee. This is the result of her hard work. We are fortunate to have Arushi represent the school, district, and the State of Georgia on the National stage.”
