Rotary President Recognized For Exceptional Leadership

Michelle Hanchey accepts Rotary District 6900 Sheffield Award

President of Johns Creek North Fulton Rotary Michelle Hanchey brought home the Sheffield Leadership Award she received before 500 attendees of the Rotary District 6900 conference at the Grand Hotel in Sanibel, Florida, on Friday, April 29.

This prestigious award is presented annually to one District 6900 club president in each of the four club size categories who best exemplify the extraordinary leadership traits represented by the Sheffield family and who exceptionally execute their responsibilities.

It was established in 1994 by the Rotary Club of Americus. It is presented annually in honor of three Past District Governors – all from the same family and the Americus Rotary Club. The
the award honors John West Sheffield (District 39, 1926-27), John W. Sheffield
(District 690, 1961-62), and Langdon Sheffield (District 690, 1975-76), each
have served as Rotary District Governor.
