- The John's Creek Open is heating up for international squash players. Yesterday, Japan's Ryunosuke Tsukue and Pakistan's Muhammad Farhan Hashmi won their respective matches to proceed to the quarter-finals of the Challenger 10 level squash tournament. Tsukue defeated Englishman Mark Broekman, while Hashmi claimed victory against Nigerian player Babatunde Ajagbe. - A Gwinnett County jury convicted a man of murder, first-degree homicide by vehicle, and several other charges in relation to a 2016 police pursuit. According to police records, a police officer was attempting to pull the man over for a traffic violation when he suddenly accelerated and began a four-mile pursuit in Fulton and Gwinnett Counties. The pursuit ended when the man's vehicle collided with another at an intersection and killed a married couple on the wife's 78th birthday. (Greeneville Sun)
