Teen Dies After Being Pulled From Johns Creek Pool
A 9-year-old boy who was also pulled from the pool is expected to recover.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — The 16-year-old girl pulled from an apartment complex swimming pool Monday afternoon has died, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A 9-year-old boy who was also pulled from the water is expected to recover, according to Johns Creek Police.
A woman saw the pair playing at a swimming pool at The Estates at Johns Creek Apartments around 4:30 p.m., when she noticed they had gone underwater in the middle of the pool for too long, police said.
The woman told authorities she could not swim and ran to get help from the office, police said. Three men came out of the building and pulled the children out of the pool, police said.

The boy was resuscitated and is expected to make a full recovery. The teenage girl was life-flighted to Scottish Rite Medical Center before dying. Her identity was not released.
The incident is under investigation but appears to be an accident, police said.
