  1. Two people were killed in a crash along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on Friday, Apr. 21, according to Gwinnett County Police. Police have not released much in terms of information regarding the crash, which occurred around 3 p.m. just north of Suwanee Creek. Dash cam footage shared with Fox 5 Atlanta seems to show a white cab pickup truck going the wrong way and trying to pull into the emergency lane as a gray coup approaches, leading to the pickup crashing into the coup before rolling over, and the coup spinning to the side of the road. The crash is still under investigation as of Apr. 23. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. The metro area had its vinyl collector Christmas-in-April this past Saturday, Apr. 22. Record Store Day began in 2008 as a way to celebrate and support the 1,400-some independent record shops in the United States, and it keeps getting bigger each year. In 2022, vinyl sales outpaced CD sales for the first time in 35 years, and per the Recording Industry Association of America, 41.3 million records were bought last year — making more than 70 percent of physical music sales vinyl and netting $1.2 billion in revenue. Participating businesses fielded special Record Store Day releases from Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, and 90's indie darlings the Pixies, among others. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. International Festival is coming to Johns Creek next Saturday, Apr. 29! The festival will include live bands, dance performances, 20 food vendors, and 60 retail vendors from cultures across the world, running from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. across from the Atlanta Athletic Club. Entry is free, and kids' activities will be held on-site courtesy of the Johns Creek Arts Center. (City of Johns Creek, Georgia via Instagram)
