What's Open, Closed New Year's Day 2019 In Johns Creek

Check for Johns Creek services and offices that are closing for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Most services will be closed on New Year's Day, but Johns Creek residents should also be aware of closures on surrounding days like New Year's Eve.

Here's a look at some of what will be open and what will be closed in Johns Creek on and around Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Wednesday, Jan. 1:

  • Fulton County courts, facilities and offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
  • Fulton County public safety services are available 365 days per year.
  • Garbage pick up depends on haulers in Johns Creek.
  • The Ocee Branch and Northeast/Spruill Oaks Branch are currently closed for renovations.
  • Fulton County Schools are off from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2, 2020, all offices are closed. Offices reopen Jan. 3, 2020 and teachers report for a work day. Students return Jan. 6, 2020.
  • Park Place Senior Center will be closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
  • Municipal offices for Johns Creek will be closed New Year's Day.
  • New Year's Day is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Jan. 2.
  • All banks are closed on New Year's Day.
  • Publix: All Publix stores will open at regular hours and close at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Most Publix stores will open at regular hours and close at 7 p.m. on New Year's Day. All Publix pharmacies will be closed on New Year's Day. Locate a store near you for specific store hours.
  • Kroger: Stores are open regular hours on New Year's Day and Eve. Pharmacies are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 1 and regular hours on New Year's Eve. Call your store to check.
