What's Open, Closed For New Year's Eve, Day In Johns Creek
The New Year's Eve and New Year's Day holidays will result in some closures and schedule changes in Johns Creek.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — New Year's Eve may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Johns Creek for the holiday.
While New Year's Day is a holiday for federal employees, some services are starting their closures on New Year's Eve since Jan. 1 is a Saturday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around New Year's Eve and New Year's Day:
- Fulton County courts, facilities and offices are closed on Friday and Monday, Jan. 3.
- Fulton County public safety services are available 365 days per year.
- Garbage pick up depends on haulers in Johns Creek.
- Fulton County public libraries will be closed Friday through Monday.
- The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority will operate bus service, rail service and Atlanta streetcar service on a special schedule Friday-Sunday.
- Fulton County Schools students are off from Dec. 20-Jan. 3, all offices are closed.
- Municipal offices for Johns Creek will be closed Friday.
- This is a holiday for federal employees and most U.S. Postal Service post offices are closed Saturday, but mail will be delivered and most postal offices will be open Friday.
- All banks will be closed Saturday.
- Grocery store hours vary.
